Kathy Griffin, famous American comedian and actress, has been suspended of the social network Twitter after parodying the account of its new owner, his compatriot Elon Musk. The artist changed his pseudonym on Twitter and used the businessman’s profile picture, reports the US news agency Associated Press. However, his identity is always shown.
“Elon just locked out my twitter account. I guess not all content moderators got fired? Lol.” he wrote on Sunday, November 6, 2022 on the Mastodon social network, which many have turned to since Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter. The actress poked fun at the new boss of the microblogging site she deals with in particular “Drama queen” (English term designating a person who makes tons of it).
November 6 Elon Musk has announced that Twitter would permanently suspend any account owned by someone else. A decision made, recalls the Associated Press, after “Some celebrities changed their Twitter display name, not their account name, and tweeted as ‘Elon Musk.'” in reaction to the billionaire’s decision to charge for the certification of accounts on the platform.
The suspension of her account does not prevent Kathy Griffin from continuing to be present on Twitter. She started the hashtag #FreeKathy using her missing mother’s account. The hashtag as well as her name are currently trending on the social network. Kathy Griffin continues to make fun of the billionaire of this account that she has already used in the past as a spare tire.
Apologize in advance for all the comments you’re going to have to read about how ugly I am and you’ll probably get stuck in there too. Oh, by the way, this is KG. I’m tweeting from my dead mother’s account. She wouldn’t mind. #FreeKathy

Two-time Emmy winner and TV star Kathy Griffin isn’t her first media stunt. She had already incurred the ire of Donald Trump, then president of the United States, by brandishing her bloody head. A gesture for which she had apologized.
