Diablo II: Resurrected launches its classified season 2 and reveals its news | xbox one

While Diablo II: Resurrected has reignited the flame of nostalgia among early fans, Activision-Blizzard has just begun hostilities for Ranked Season 2. Players looking for tough challenges and high-value rewards will be in for a treat.

Go fight in the Dread Zones

Let’s not waste any time and start with some good news for new players getting into Diablo II: Resurrected and its ranked seasons for the first time. Will season 1 leave traces of its passage? Are we going to start from scratch? To be honest, it’s a bit of a yes and no.

To be clear, all ranked characters now transfer to their respective standard group. All shared chest items for this group of characters are placed in the new set of “remove only” shared chest tabs, marked with an “approved” checkbox. How long do you have to take them out and store them? All season 2!

Choose wisely, as the contents of this set of tabs will be replaced with the contents of the Season 2 Shared Chest, so remember to remove any items you care about before that happens. Otherwise, any items not picked up will be permanently lost.

Now let’s talk about the different events that await you during this season 2. The regulars of the license know it: getting level 99 is like a Holy Grail that you have to be willing to sweat for if you want to achieve it. If the developer has made the path leading to this highly symbolic level more accessible, players will still have to find the courage to set out for the Dread Zones.

These disturbing places, imagined by the studio, have the particularity of being activated every hour through diabolic tremors imbued with the corruption of the Lord of Destruction, the latter spreading in specific areas.

These areas will also have the effect of strengthening the monsters in them, which will always be two levels higher than you… at least. The base level of the creatures can also be affected, however a maximum level will be defined according to the difficulty level you have chosen. The loot recovered during your matches will be proportional to this level increase.

Important clarification, the Terror Zones will only be unlocked after defeating Baal, with each character (having access to the extension) and at each desired difficulty level. This feature will automatically unlock for characters who have already met these requirements.

Aware of the limits imposed by the “Hell” difficulty and in particular the Dread Zones, the developer wanted to add six Broken Charms that will have the ability to break monster immunities. These new unique charms that will need to be kept in your inventory to work can only be obtained from Terror Zone Champion, Unique, Super Unique, or Boss rank monsters.

Finally, Activision Blizzard has worked to fix several bugs by implementing the 2.5 patch available now. Diablo II: Resurrected awaits on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
