Gasoline shortage: here are the restrictions in force in Île-de-France and in the Oise

Part of the French service stations are marked by gasoline shortages after a strike started several days ago at the TotalEnergies refineries, which led the prefects of certain Ile-de-France departments to take action. Almost everywhere, queues stretch for tens of meters in front of the stations that deliver the precious fuel. And faced with motorists who fill drums for fear of running out of gasoline in the coming weeks, the State has had to take measures in certain departments. Here are the restrictions in force in Île-de-France and Oise.

The Oise prefecture published this Saturday at the end of the day a decree that prohibits the sale of gasoline in any container of the drum or drum type and gives priority to caregivers. “Gas station operators will enable priority access for the benefit of medical, paramedical and medical-social personnel provided with a professional card or a certificate from their employer”, specifies the prefecture, which calls on drivers to go to the stations only in case of strict necessity. “The delivery of the service stations can be ensured during the weekend”, assures the prefecture.

Oise Valley

Faced with “a massive influx of drivers at stations” in the department, the Val-d’Oise prefecture also prohibited the sale of gasoline in containers until October 12.

A sign of palpable tension, late in the morning, a man pulled out a hammer and threatened the petrol station attendant at a Deuil-la-Barre gas station because the latter had let a nurse through. The driver was arrested and taken into custody.

The prefecture of Seine-Saint-Denis has taken the same restrictions, which also invites residents to show good citizenship to avoid any phenomenon of saturation.

Seine and Marne

Currently, the restrictive measures are not relevant in Seine-et-Marne. However, the prefect admits that “possible ways of reflection” are opened on this issue, such as the prohibition of the sale of gasoline in drums. “But nothing has been decided yet. »

There are no restrictions in force in Yvelines at the moment, the prefecture reports a “stable” and even “improving” situation, even if the situation is under “great surveillance”. This Saturday around 2:00 p.m., of the 142 service stations in the department, 54 ran out of diesel, 16 without gasoline and 12 without stock.

No decree has been taken yet Essonea Parisin Upper Seine and in the Val de Marne. TotalEnergies unions said on Saturday they were ready “to start negotiations on Monday” on the wage increase issue, in order to “quickly get out of this impasse”.
