OGC Nice dominates Slovácko and temporarily takes the lead in Group D

On the occasion of matchday three of the Europa League Conference, OGC Nice moved onto the pitch of FC Slovácko. Authors of two draws in the first two games, the Aiglons had the ambition to beat the Czechs to put pressure on Cologne, leader of group D, who will face Partizan from 9:00 p.m. Lined up in a 4-4-2 formation with Laborde and Pépé leading, Lucien Favre’s men started this match perfectly but Pépé saw his header crash into the left post by Nguyen (9th). Owner of the debates, the Gymnasium, however, failed to find the fault and remained silent at halftime (0-0). Returning from the locker room, the Niçois went about their business, finally taking advantage of a blunder by Nguyen to take the lead…
